THE FRAMEWORK
Since the beginning the mission of the Church has been to worship the LORD and to engage the community with love and grace. The Church has faced prosperity and challenge throughout history. Redeemer Arlington is no different.
Redeemer Arlington is a church in Arlington, Texas for Arlington, Texas. It is our desire to engage every square inch of the city of Arlington, Texas with the love and grace of Jesus.
The 410 project is an effort to love and engage the city where we live, where we work and where we enjoy our neighbors. It is our aim that we live out this mission in such a way that faith, design, work and community are connected through the grace of Jesus.
THE REFRAMING
From the inception of the 410 Project, church leaders had an aggressive vision of all this new model could be. The further we have come in the project, the more refined these items have become. The leadership, from day one, understood that in order to create this new model it would reframe the current model. This Reframing allows our church with few resources to be able to be more directly involved in the daily life of our diverse community. The leadership of Redeemer are both bold and deliberate in the vision, working hard to accomplish this reframing while always knowing that God is at the center of it all and he is the one who deserves all glory and honor.
The Goals:
- Create a place where the real estate pays for itself allowing the tithe to be used exclusively for church operations.
- Create a place that will have the highest and best use for the church and our community.
- Create a place that will be used as a business operation for the church to pay back the initial investmen. This new operation will also be used to assist in church planting at a quick rate i.e. 3 church plants in a 5 year window.
- Create a place that fundamentally changes how many people come through our doors giving us a new method of outreach to our community
- Create a place where our church, through its daily actions and involvement, live out our calling 365 days a year.
- Create a place that creates a special experience every time it is in use for both the church and the operations the church will participate in via this reframing.
THE MOMENT
Redeemer Arlington has experienced the same challenges that many other churches have faced over the years. The church had an aging and dwindling congregation and a facility being underutilized. The leadership understood that the current church model was no longer sustainable and undertook a journey to arrange a new vision based in the historic church with a view of engaging the city and planting new churches. The 410 project is the first of its kind using this new model. This model utilizes and showcases the engine of our church, it's amazing congregation. This new facility and its numerous uses will allow Redeemer to engage every corner of Arlington in new and exciting ways.
